The sound is real good coming out of the converter to my older receiver. The best way to turn HDMI digital sound to analog for older equipment.

Works well extracting audio from HDMI - though a little pricey. You need two HDMI cables (+ audio.) it would have been nice if it were to include one short HDMI cable.

Works great. My Roku only has HDMI out which my TV accepts, but my TV only outputs stereo on its optical output. My receiver can't accept HDMI. This solves the problem, HDMI between Roku and J-Tech, J-Tech and TV. Toslink to my AVR and I have Dolby 5.1. Works perfect with Amazon Prime and other services using legacy Dolby. I have not tried Netflix, but I understand Netflix uses Digital Dolby Plus, and this won't work with DD+. You would be limited to stereo if source uses DD+ instead of legacy DD5.1.
